A novel strategy for producing high?performance continuous regenerated fibers with wool?like structure

We proposed a novel approach to prepare high-performance continuous regenerated keratin fibers with wool-like structure by using the cortical cells and linear from wool waste as reinforcement adhesive, respectively. The spindle-shaped were taken based on different responses of mesenchyme in treatments H2O2 oxidation ultrasonication. was yielded through dissolving green solution consisting starch derived dithiothreitol protein denaturant sodium dodecyl sulfate. recycled produced wet-spinning mixture comprising cells, toughener poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate, crosslinked glutaraldehyde 4,4?-methylenebis-(phenyl isocyanate). aligned along axis retained quite few ?-helical crystals intermediate filaments, benefitting improvement mechanical properties. Consequently, valuable chemical compositions hierarchical microstructures largely inherited. Their properties, thermal stability, dyeing property, moisture absorption capability, antistatic resistance resembled those wool. contained 93.3 wt.% components wool, amount synthetic chemicals controlled low 6.7 wt.%.
